MAPPAMUNDI
January 31- April 25 2011
Berardo Museum-Foundation, Lisbon, Portugal www.museuberardo.com

The Berardo Museum-Foundation organizes Mappamundi, an exhibition about maps and contemporary art including video, design, graphic and photographic pieces.
Curated by Guillaume Monsaingeon, the exhibition assembles artists who, over the past 40 years, have worked on maps and who have questioned cartographical representation.
The Mappamundi exhibition presents two works by Jeremy Wood, including Meridians, 8,5 x 1,4 metre inkjet printed on cotton resulting from a GPS drawing along the Greenwich meridian: a walk through London along the quote “It is not down in any map; true places never are.” (Herman Melville, Moby Dick)
